What do you get when you cross traditional hand smocking with a Christmas Stocking? The edit58 X Smock London Smockings and Smocked Sacks! We have joined forces once again with the Queen of crafted homewares, edit58, to bring you a glorious hand-crafted heirloom this holiday season.

You could not find two more evocatively nostalgic pieces than hand-smocking and Christmas stockings, both brimming with cherished memories that transport you back to a time of wonder and innocence. These snow-dusted, gold-tinted memories were exactly what we sought to evoke when we sat down with edit58 founder Lisa to design this timeless range of hand-smocked Holiday Heirlooms. Designed to last a lifetime and beyond, the collection includes three “Smockings” and three matching Smocked Sacks, available individually or as a matching pair. Each design is centred around a time-honoured Christmas stitch motif and combines traditional fabrics with candy cane colour threads to create a classic Christmas centrepiece.

The Snowflake design combines a red gingham body and loop with an off-white cotton lining with a red Vichy frill, pleated and hand smocked with 6 step trellis stitches and exquisite snowflakes.

Personalisation

If you wish you can select to personalise your order in one of three ways:

  • Large initial on the body of piece (this works best on the Plain Linen body)
  • Monogram on the ruffled frill (please note, due to the frill the monogram will fall between ruffles and will not sit ‘flat’. We feel this only adds to the charm of the piece.
  • Full first name (up to 8 Characters)

Personalisation will be carried out by our our Head Embroidery Elf, Polly Lannaccone of ‘Nonna’s Napkins’ in a classic chainstitch font (please see example alphabet for how each letter will be embroidered).
