This very special edition of our Katherine Johnson Dress is made from a classic yet cosy brushed-cotton black watch tartan and comes bedecked with hand stitched bows, sumptuous sashes and cross-stitching. Named after Katherine Johnson, a pioneering NASA mathematician who’s brilliant calculations helped put man on the moon, the out of this world smocking panel features our iconic Bow’s smocking motif hand stitched over days in glittering gold threads framed with navy zigzags - a true smocking spectacle befitting the star-studded celebrations of the Season. The delicate frill collar, mother of pearl buttons and pirouette proof cotton lining make up the finishing touches on this Christmas classic sure to see generations of little ladies ring in festive season.

Our girl's fit is “Classic British” meaning dresses are designed to hit just below the knee. At the beginning of the age range dresses will reach to mid calf; at the upper end of the range they will hit above the knee.
Due the way our hand smocked pieces are pleated and sewn, our clothes offer a very versatile fit - there is natural stretch in all hand pleated smocks. For this reason we offer fewer, bridge sizes. This means more room for growth and less waste.
All of our pieces are designed to be passed down generations when handled with care.
All UK and overseas orders are sent with tracked services: Royal Mail or DHL. Once they have been dispatched we have no additional information other than what is provided on the tracking link. Please use your tracking reference to contact the service directly if more information is needed. We are not responsible for parcels once they have left our warehouse.
Standard UK delivery is free for orders over £150. For orders under £150 delivery is £4.95 (Standard delivery) and £12.50 for Express delivery.
We deliver internationally and shipping for most countries is calculated automatically at the checkout. If you cannot checkout your order online please email us for an International Shipping quote.
We offer delivery to the USA with either a postal service (approx 10 days) or a faster courier service with DHL (approx 5 days). Delivery to the USA is FREE for orders over $250.
Deliveries to the EU are shipped duties and taxes included with DHL and there will be no additional charges incurred by the customer upon import or delivery (please note this excludes Switzerland)
All overseas orders outside the UK and EU are shipped duties unpaid, and may be subject to VAT, customs taxes and duties. This cost is the responsibility of the customer and is payable on receipt of goods.
